Scenic Painter

Requirements:

• Strong time management and planning skills.

• Strong knowledge of painting machinery and techniques.

• Ability to absorb and reproduce techniques and procedures using approved materials and tools.

• Ability to be punctual and dependable.

Level I: 1 years’ experience with a scenic artist background but not in theming.

Level II: 2-3 years’ experience working in the theming industry as a scenic artist.

Level II: 3+ years’ extensive knowledge and work experience in the theming industry as a

scenic artist.

Work Schedule / Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse setting.

• Hours: 6am – 2:30pm (MON-FRI)

o 30-minute lunch (unpaid)

o 15-minute break (paid)

• Work environment will change often and will require consistent awareness to surroundings and potential dangers

to themselves and others.

• Physical Requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to

successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance from others or lifting devices from floor to waist and waist to floor.

• Ability to walk, hear, see in order to reasonably perform essential job functions.

• Must have agility and a good sense of balance, willing to work in high places.

Scenic Paint Helper: Hourly Rate of $15.00 - $18.00

• Responsible for adhering to all Company and Project safety programs, policies, and procedures as well as all

Federal, State, and local safety codes and regulations.

• Working with urethanes, water based, oil based, stains, lacquers, epoxies, etc.

• Use of tools including spray guns, airless sprayers, sanders, grinders, etc.

• Exposure and use of bodywork materials including bondo, wood putty, caulk, spot putty, etc.

• Accurately and efficiently put away or pick material.

• Participate in team/safety meetings.

• Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the Shop.

Level I: Hourly Rate of $18.00 - $20.00

In addition to above:

• Molding materials including resins, silicone, fiberglass, etc.

• Bodywork materials including bondo, wood putty, caulk, spot putty, etc.

• Perform paint techniques such as washes, glazes, textures, base coating, and clear coating.

• Perform tasks in repetition by meeting deadlines.

• Basic understanding of theming rockwork, figure, and character theming

Level II: Hourly Rate of $20.00 - $24.00

In addition to above:

• Basic understanding in color mixing, small scale theme painting, spatters, washes, how to create wood grain,

metal, aging.

• Experienced and knowledge of application with Automotive finish and Base coat

Level III: Hourly Rate of $24.00 - $27.00

In addition to above:

• Competent to mix colors and washes.

• Full scale Scenic & Theming finish

• Ability to create wood, metal, and aging/distressing of most things.

• Oversee and lead small crew by prioritizing projects, assigning work tasks, maintaining records, and monitoring

work as directed by Management.
