Position: Literacy Support Teacher Coach
Employment Type: Temporary/Hourly
Reports To: Principal or Academic Dean
Location: Elementary School
Nature of Work
This is a temporary/hourly position responsible for providing coaching and instructional support to teachers as they plan and implement literacy instruction and intervention for students.
Essential Functions
The successful candidate must be able to:

- Demonstrate knowledge of the programs, policies, and procedures of St. BBM's County Public School System.
- Demonstrate knowledge of literacy interventions and instructional practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Literacy Support Teacher Coach will:
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to support effective literacy instruction.
- Work independently with students to provide targeted literacy support and intervention.
- Prioritize, prepare, discuss, and plan the implementation of literacy instruction with assigned teachers.
- Support, plan, guide, and model literacy instruction and interventions for students.
- Collect, record, and analyze literacy data in collaboration with instructional and administrative staff.
- Provide practice-based literacy coaching to identified staff members.
- Meet regularly with the school's leadership team and assigned teachers at designated times for instructional planning and support.
- Attend professional development sessions, training, and data meetings as required or requested.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- Current and valid Maryland teaching certification in Elementary Education.
- Five (5) years of school-based instructional leadership experience in a Title I school.
- Professional development experience and demonstrated success providing instructional coaching and support to teachers.
Term of Employment
This is a temporary/hourly position.
Compensation: $40.00 per hour, not to exceed 15 hours per week.
