Warehouse Associate - Reach Truck & Forklift Operator

Abacus Corporation is seeking dependable and safety-focused Reach Truck & Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. Candidates must have prior forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow all safety procedures in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position offers a temp-to-hire opportunity after completing 480 hours.

We have multiple shifts available across two buildings. Building A requires reach truck experience, while Building B requires sit-down forklift experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a reach truck or sit-down forklift, depending on building assignment.
• Move, stage, and organize inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Use a Chromebook and scanner to complete inventory and warehouse transactions.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Complete required safety training and written and practical forklift evaluations.
• Maintain accurate time punches and consistent attendance.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all site policies regarding personal protective equipment, clothing, and electronic devices.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Building A: Reach truck experience required; Crown equipment experience preferred.
• Building B: Sit-down forklift experience required.
• Valid driver's license in good standing required.
• Comfortable using a Chromebook and handheld scanner.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Composite-toe shoes required. Steel-toe shoes are permitted but must be removed and put back on when passing through the metal detector.
• Must successfully complete required safety training and forklift evaluations.
• Resume and interview required for all candidates.

Attendance

Employees may not miss more than 4 days within a 90-day period. The attendance period resets upon conversion.

Shifts & Pay

• 1st Shift: Mon-Thu, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM | $22.50/hr
• 2nd Shift: Mon-Thu, 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM | $25.50/hr
• 3rd Shift: Mon-Thu, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM | $26.00/hr
• Weekend Day: Fri-Sun, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM | $25.50/hr
• Weekend Night: Fri-Sun, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM | $26.00/hr

Weekend shifts are scheduled for fewer than 40 hours; however, employees with perfect attendance and accurate punches will be paid for 40 hours.
