Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to support employee health, safety, and emergency response operations within a warehouse environment. The EMT will provide initial medical assessment and first aid for workplace injuries or illnesses, respond to medical emergencies, and assist with maintaining a safe working environment for warehouse personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical assistance to employees experiencing workplace injuries or medical emergencies.

• Assess employee conditions and determine when emergency medical services (911) are needed.

• Monitor employees for signs of heat-related illness, dehydration, and other workplace-related medical concerns.

• Assist with incident reporting, injury documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with company policies.

• Conduct routine safety checks and help identify potential workplace hazards.

• Support warehouse safety initiatives and promote proper injury prevention practices.

• Maintain first aid supplies, emergency response equipment, and medical kits.

• Communicate effectively with warehouse management, safety personnel, and emergency responders.

• Follow all company safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and applicable medical protocols.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification or state-recognized equivalent.

• Current CPR/AED certification.

• Previous experience in emergency medical services, occupational health, or an industrial/warehouse setting preferred.

• Ability to respond quickly and remain calm during emergencies.

• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and navigate a warehouse environment.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse or distribution facility and involves regular interaction with warehouse employees and management. The EMT may be exposed to noise, moving equipment, temperature fluctuations, and other typical warehouse conditions.
