Metal Finish - Grind

Position Summary

The Metal Finish Grinder is responsible for removing excess material, smoothing welds, and preparing fabricated metal components for final finishing, painting, or assembly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Grind welds and fabricated parts to specification.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.
• Utilize grinders, sanders, and other finishing equipment.
• Perform quality inspections on completed work.
• Maintain production standards and schedules.
• Follow safety requirements and proper equipment usage.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Previous grinding or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power grinding tools.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
