Printer Technician

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Set up, configure, and run digital printers to produce prints according to specifications, including color, size, and resolution.

• Maintenance and cleaning:
  Perform routine preventative maintenance, clean print heads, rollers, and other printer components, replace consumables like ink cartridges and toner.

• 
  Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or software issues that arise during printing operations, including paper jams, color misalignment, and software errors.

• 
  Inspect printed materials for accuracy, consistency, and quality, ensuring adherence to client specifications and industry standards.

• 
  Maintain logs of maintenance, repairs, and production activities. Report recurring issues and coordinate with management or vendors for repairs when necessary.

• 
  Use digital prepress and printer control software for job scheduling, color management, and file preparation.

• 
  Follow safety protocols and industry regulations related to chemical handling (inks and solvents) and printer operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing technology preferred.

• Experience with digital printing equipment and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.

• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

• Ability to handle physical tasks, lift print materials, and work safely with inks and solvents
